Based on my own experience, I will list the minimum memory configurations which I believe are tolerable. By tolerable, I mean that you can dictate in real-time but correction may be slow and there is a noticeable start up delay when you switch applications. You actual performance will vary based on the quality of your sound card and the speed of your processor.
32MB is enough to run Dragon NaturallySpeaking without using the BestMatch models and without using NaturalWord under Windows 95. (This is also the configuration of Point & Speak.)
48MB is enough to run Dragon NaturallySpeaking without using the BestMatch models and without using NaturalWord under Windows NT.
48MB is enough to run Dragon NaturallySpeaking without using the BestMatch models when also using NaturalWord in Microsoft Word 97 under Windows 95.
64MB is enough to run Dragon NaturallySpeaking with BestMatch models and the 64,000 word vocabulary under Windows 95. This is the configuration which I use at home.

96MB is enough to run Dragon NaturallySpeaking with BestMatch models and the 64,000 word vocabulary under Windows 98 when also using NaturalWord in Microsoft Word 97. This is the configuration which I use on my laptop. You can probably get by with less memory but I have not tried anything else. (Note, the sound quality on my laptop is not as good as my desktop so Dragon NaturallySpeaking has to work harder and takes a little more memory.)
That said. Adding another 32MB on top of those configurations will speed up things like switching applications and using the Correction Dialog.
